The Tournament
8bit Extravaganza Tournaments
Twice a year the 8bit Extravaganza holds a single elimination tournament to determine your idea of the best games from a particular era.
The tournament is a battle of life and death from the seeded bracket of 64 games, where you decide the fate of the games.
The rules of the Tournament:
Games face off in 1 on 1 battles, audience votes and the game with the most votes moves on in the tournament.
How to Vote:
8bitx.com Chatroom or on the hotline. Ties are decided by coin-flip.
The DopeRule:
The host can overrule the current decision, only 1 per show.
The Exectutive Challenge:
Audience can challenge current decision, including doperule.
8bit Tournament
It started with 64 NES games, took over 2 years (due to show hiatus), and ended in complete controversy.
Winner: Contra
16bit Tournament
For the first time we see Sega enter the tournament to take on Nintendo. Bloody battles are held all over the place, shocking upsets, tons of drama, and yes of course controversy.
