Quickies - Stats
This game is fantastic. If you like platformers you will love this game. It is difficult enough to challange you but not blow you away with cheeseyness. The games controls are so smooth in the platforming area it makes you not want to put the controller down. The only thing that this game is missing is a way to save your progress or some sort of a password method. If you plan on making any progress in this game make sure you have about 2 hours to kill because it will take you that long to upgrade your weapons and get you through all the areas.
Difficulty
The thing that makes the game tough are the enemies that you run into. Most of them aren't programmed to just run in a robotic path. Some actually come at you and compensate for you jumping over them. Also the length of time needed in order to play the game makes it difficult for those who lack that aspect of life.
GRAPHICS
The graphics for this game are pretty par with most nes games. It doesn't overly blow you away and there are never times when you say this is bad. It has a nice mix and feel for the game as you play it that it fits in and doesn't really make you notice it.
Music
The main music in this is epic. It has a nice classic theme that will have you humming when you are not even playing it, and when that happens you know it is good.
Quickies
Quick Tidbits stumbled upon while playing:
- **TESTED** The grenade glitch works on the bosses that take grenade hits, at first I wasn't a fan of it but when you get down to one health bar I don't knock anyone who uses it.
Stats
Stats of Playing:
Total Amount of mins played = 162

1st Night: 7:23PM - 8:06PM = 43mins
1st official run through ends in a death of 3 lives, just testing things out...continue of course.
2nd run through I get up to the first boss, a brain looking jelly fish, and beat him to win the "hyper" for my car. A weapon upgrade that fires a strong gun for the car allowing you to get through to the 2nd level.
I then beat another boss character that looked like an alien from Contra with long green claws and shot a 4 bullets at once. This gets you the "crusher" upgrade for your vehicle. This also fires a stronger weapon that goes through some of the blocks in the wall allowing you to get to of course some unlocked areas.
I ran out of time, I shut the game off due to the World Series Game 2.
2nd Night:103009 8:56PM - :9:58PM = 62mins
Got to the same area as the first night and then some. In area 3, I fight a block looking boss that is in the shape of a square and has a blue eye in the middle of it. I end up losing to this boss who is pretty tough, and at this point it was the end of my last guy and wanted me to continue. After an hour I decide to shut off the system.
3rd Night:110309 6:32PM - 7:07PM = 35mins - [-Pause for dinna-] 7:42PM - 8:04PM = 22min - 35 + 22 = 57mins.
Got to the same area's as the 1st and 2nd night though I finally conquer the square boss and the weapon upgrade I get is the "Hover". This allows your car to hover above the ground only for the amount of hover energy you have in your meter. Also noted is that I did the grenade cheat for the 2nd boss and it worked as advertised, very cool.
