  Toy Soldiers
Released 03.03.10
XBOX 360
Toy Soldiers is an Xbox Live Arcarde game released by the company Signal Studios for the Xbox 360. This is a tower defense style game in which you control your army on one side and try to prevent the oposing teams army from advancing forward. The game is setup to resemble army men, toy soldiers even, that fight in a 3d world that is considered your toy box. It has the classic tower defense style. You have to put up your defense where the selected areas allow you to and of course the more the kill the more money you get so you can upgrade your weapons. The neat thing about this game is that you can actually control these weapons rather than rely on some AI programming to take out the enemy. You can use the machine guns, howitzers, sniper towers, and other weapons including an actual plane you can fly around the map and drop bombs and shoot bullets with.

The graphics are fantastic. This looks more like a game you would buy on a cd and actaully place in your system. The animation and the killing are satisfying, even though its only a T rated game. The music really doesnt play during the game, more of so when you pause it, and when you pause it you are given the sound of something you'd hear from a 1940's radio.

The demo was really fun and had a very good replay value for me. To purchase the full version, it is 1200 Microsoft points which is roughly about $15 (US). I don't see myslef purchasing it for that price although I think if you have the money it is worth it. Once it drops below 800 points I can see myself venturing back into the Toybox to help my troops defend. I give the demo a 4 out of 5 stars.
