Super Mario 64 is a platform game, developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development and published by Nintendo, for the Nintendo 64. Along with Pilotwings 64, it was one of the launch titles for the console. It was released in Japan on June 23, 1996, and later in North America. Super Mario 64 has sold over eleven million copies.

Gameplay
Super Mario 64 is a 3D platformer where the player controls Mario through several courses. Each course is an enclosed world in which the player is free to wander in all directions and discover the environment without time limits.
Plot and Settings
Super Mario 64 is set in Princess Peach's Castle, which consists of three floors, a basement, a moat, and a courtyard. The area outside the castle is an introductory area in which the player can experiment. Scattered throughout the castle are entrances to courses via secret walls and paintings.

Super Mario 64 begins with a letter from Princess Peach inviting Mario to come to her castle for a cake she has baked for him. However, when he arrives, Mario discovers that Bowser has invaded the castle and imprisoned the princess and her servants within it using the power of the castle's 120 Power Stars.

Audio
The music was composed by veteran composer Koji Kondo, who used new interpretations of the familiar melodies from earlier games as well as entirely new material. Super Mario 64 was one of the first games in the series to feature Charles Martinet as the voice of Mario. It also features the voices of Leslie Swan (then Senior Editor of Nintendo Power) as Princess Peach, who also wrote the English text for the game, and Isaac Marshall as Bowser.

Excitebike 64 is a video game published by Nintendo and developed by Left Field Productions. It was released in North America on April 30, 2000 for the Nintendo 64 video game console.

Gameplay
You can choose from one of six riders, each with his own pre-set handling attributes. To control the bike, use the analog or D-pad moving the bike A to accelerate, B to brake, R for slide, and Z for a turbo boost. Just as in the original, holding down gives you more air on jumps, while holding up aims your front wheel forward to enable landing on slopes. The game isn't meant to be an accurate motorbiking simulation. It chooses to follow the original in giving "extreme" jumps and physics, creating a far more "exciting" atmosphere.

Features
The main game features a 20-track season mode. Completing races unlocks more tracks and features. Also included is a tutorial that will teach you how to play through 17 different tracks. Also included are a variety of exhibitions and time trial modes that let you do more activities other than the main game. A major feature is the track editor, where you can create your own fully-functional track and save it into the game. The announcer, Limua, shouts out the tricks and crashes throughout the race.

Bushido Blade 2 is a fighting game published by Squaresoft, released in both Japan and North America in 1998. It is the sequel to Bushido Blade, which had been released the previous year.

Due to disagreements between Squaresoft and the games' developer, Light Weight, the series ended abruptly with this game, despite the fact that this game's ending left open the possibility of a sequel. Light Weight would later use the same game engine in the Kengo series.

Gameplay
Bushido Blade 2 expands on some of the aspects of Bushido Blade, while limiting or removing others. The story mode is changed from one large connected level to a series of skirmishes, each set on a different map. Playable characters are chosen from groups which represent two opposing schools of ninja, and they are armed with swords or polearms of varying types.

The fights in Bushido Blade 2 mark the progress of the chosen character who depending on the character either fights to regain a legendary sword, or to destroy the opposing ninja school. Levels involve a pattern of fighting several generic ninja followed by a boss, who is one of the playable characters from the opposing school.

Story
In the 13th century, on the island of Konoshima (in the Seto Naikai, Inland Sea, of Japan) there existed two feudal clans, the Kagami and the Sue, both aligned to the same Daimyo. They lived in peace until war on mainland Japan crushed the Daimyo. The Kagami swore fealty to the new Daimyo while the Sue were loyal to their master until the end. The conflict between the two began with the Kagami drawing the Sue off of the island and into battle. The Sue, having been defeated in battle, then lost their sacred sword the Yugiri. For centuries after, secretive battles were fought that were fierce, but not widespread.

Some 800 years later the Shainto school, composed of the remaining descendants from the Sue clan, attacked the Narukagami Shintoryu, the Kagami clan dojo, at their headquarters: the Meikyokan. To redeem their honor, they move to recover the Sacred Sword Yugiri and wipe out the last descendant of the Kagami family. That is the point from which the opening FMV begins, covering the assault which is later seen more fully in the story mode.

Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey is a video game developed by Atari Games and released for the arcade in 1996. It was later ported to the Nintendo 64 console on October 31, 1996, where it was the first-ever 4-player game for the Nintendo 64. The game was subsequently re-released as Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey '98 (also ported to the PlayStation) and later in an Olympic version. The players are polygonal, not sprites.

As opposed to the more realistic hockey gameplay seen in Electronic Arts' NHL series, the game featured a more unrealistic arcade-style of gameplay, featuring moves such as "power saves", which caused the goaltender to briefly transform into a brick wall, "power shots", which would set the net on fire or knock the goalie into the net, and "power checks", which would send an ambulance across the top of the screen. It featured high-scoring games and over-the-top fights.

There was also a simulation mode for those looking for more realistic gameplay. The game allowed the creation of profiles and would keep track of important individual and team stats, including goals, assists, and wins, among others.

Jet Force Gemini is a science fiction third-person shooter game for the Nintendo 64 developed and published by RareWare that was released on October 11, 1999. The single-player adventure spans many varied planets as the player assumes the role of the Jet Force Gemini as they try to stop the evil plans of the bug dictator Mizar. The game is unique in that it employs the rare cooperative style of gameplay, where two can play the story mode at once. Multiplayer modes can be unlocked, including the traditional death-match and survival matches. Also available in multiplayer are racing games, as well as the firing range mode, which is similar to a rail shooter game. Jet Force Gemini shares elements with platform games, first person shooters, and run and gun games.

Story
The game begins with Juno, Vela, and Lupus witnessing an attack on the planet Goldwood by Mizar's forces. Soon afterwards, their spaceship is attacked by the Spawnship and boarded by drones. Since they're the last Jet Force ship left (the fleet being destroyed by Mizar), they decide not to wait for orders and act on their own. The three abandon ship and go off their own separate paths to stop the invasion and confront Mizar. In the beginning, Juno is the only playable character, following a set path towards Mizar's Palace. As the game progresses, Vela's and Lupus' paths to Mizar's Palace can be unlocked, as well as a cooperative mode when the player fixes Floyd (An airborne droid that betrays Mizar), however, they can only aim and shoot a weak energy blast. The game progresses as the characters travel to different planets and spaceships, defeating Mizar's forces.

Gran Turismo (commonly abbreviated to GT or GT1) is a racing simulator designed by Kazunori Yamauchi. Gran Turismo was developed by Polyphony Digital and first published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1997 for the PlayStation video game console. The game was originally only sold in Japan but the popularity of the game led to an American version and then a European version being sold in other countries. After five years of development time, it was well-received publicly and critically, shipping a total of 10.85 million copies worldwide as of April 30, 2008, and scoring an average of 95% in GameRankings' aggregate. The game has started a series, and to date has spawned over 10 spin-offs and sequels.

Gameplay
Gran Turismo is fundamentally based on the racing simulator genre. The player must maneuver an automobile to compete against artificially intelligent drivers on various race tracks. The game uses two different modes: arcade and simulation. In the arcade mode, the player can freely choose the courses and vehicles they wish to use. Winning races unlocks additional cars and courses.

Music
The opening song for the North American and PAL versions is a Chemical Brothers remix of the Manic Street Preachers song "Everything Must Go". The opening song for the Japanese version is "Moon Over The Castle", composed by Masahiro Andoh; this song is used for the opening movie in the Japanese version of every Gran Turismo game to date.

SimCity 2000 (SC2K) is a simulation/city building computer game and the second installment in the SimCity series. SimCity 2000 was first released by Maxis in 1993 for computers running the Apple Macintosh and DOS operating systems. It was later re-released on a number of different platforms. In 1995, SimCity 2000 won "Best Military or Strategy Computer Game" Origins Award.

OVERVIEW
The unexpected and enduring success of the original SimCity, combined with the relative lack of success with other "Sim" titles, finally motivated the development of a sequel. SimCity 2000 was a major extension of the concept; the view was now dimetric instead of overhead, land could have different elevations, and underground layers were introduced for water pipes and subways.

New types of facilities include prisons, schools, libraries, museums, marinas, zoos, hospitals, churches (although they appeared randomly on residential blocks in the first SimCity, they could not be built by the player) and arcologies. Players can build highways, roads, bus depots, railway tracks, subways, train depots and zone land for seaports and airports. There are a total of nine varieties of power plants in SimCity 2000, including coal, natural gas, nuclear, wind turbines, hydroelectric dams (which can only be placed on waterfall tiles) and the futuristic fusion power and satellite microwave plant. Most types of power plants have a limited life span and must be rebuilt periodically.

VERSION
The PlayStation version of the game remains largely unchanged (although the game's directions for getting help is to press alt+shift, which is only possible using a computer keyboard). The only additions are scenarios, including one that involves a new volcano forming in Vancouver (destroying most of the city, and requiring the mayor to rebuild it). The port also allows the player to tour their city from a car's perspective and has a full motion video intro. This version was released on the PlayStation Network in Europe for both PSP and PS3 on November 20, 2008 and in North America on Aug 28, 2009.
