8bit Extravaganza Preview: History of Beat Em Ups
[UPDATE]
Ha! Renegade has fallen! Monday night I have conquered the obsession that was Renegade's hold over me. It all ended with a fist to the face of Sabu, who weilds a GUN and just shoots you. 1 hit and your are dead! I hope to have screens for you soon...

Renegade was not without gamer-rage though, as a classic controller throwing moment happened in the maze-like Mission 4.

Update on this line:
I must destroy Kim, who knows, she could be the leader of a huge crime syndicate who kidnaps small children for ransom to pay for her numerous operations to become Abobo in Double Dragon. According to this walkthrough, "She's the long lost sister of Abobo from the 'Double Dragon' series. " -HA! and a note I did NOT use the walkthrough during my quest, I almost did but could not live with myself if I used the walkthrough.

HI Score: 390,000+ (game doesn't store it after you win)

[Renegade captures the feeling of a street fight perfectly]
This week on The 8bit Extravaganza we will be going over the History of the Beat Em Ups!
Check out the research that we've been doing:

[Classic]
And since Renegade is one of the most under rated games ever, I will be attempting to beat this game by the time the show airs, during Justin's Radio Free Gamer!

Last Time on Renegade:
I found a staircase that led to a huge woman/man that just keeps kicking my ass named Kim. She is a beast, and the toughest battle yet. You can skip her but I feel like that is just avoiding the fight, and no true master of Renegade can look themselves in the eye and say they have defeated Renegade and the whole time there is a room with a Boss there without their head kicked in. I must destroy Kim, who knows, she could be the leader of a huge crime syndicate who kidnaps small children for ransom to pay for her numerous operations to become Abobo in Double Dragon.

I cannot let this happen.
