Block 6 Outcome:
**Spoiler** Block 6 is renamed the Sonic block. //**END Spoiler** One particular listener ( who hardly is a Sonic fan ) introduces the first matchup as Sonic ( a one seed ) takes on Kirby's Dream Course ( a 8 seed ). As the first sentence reads in this block, Sonic gets every vote against Kirby's Dream Course.

Matchup number two brings up Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts ( a 4 seed ) VS Mutant League Hockey ( a 5 seed ). Mutant League Hockey is a colt classic type of game and although Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts was a nice upgrade to its NES predecessor it gets edged by MLH.

The third matchup has another hockey title in it, NHL 96 ( a 3 seed ) VS Toejam and Earl ( a 6 seed ). Toejam and Earl wasn't particually a great game but it had the childhood memories factor going for it. Nhl 96 on the other hand was probably one of the best hockey games ever developed but some of the listeners of the show are simply not sports fans. The matchup ends up being very close with it ending in a coin flip as a winner is you! = NHL 96.

Matchup number 4 and the final one of Block 6 is Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest ( a 2 seed ) VS Road Runner's Death Valley Rally ( a 7 seed ). DKC2 comes in as the sequal to the very popular Donkey Kong Country and the gameplay itself is almost just as good. This being said about that, Road Runner's game is very underated and most likely loses due to the lack most of the listeners having never played it. The edge goes to DKC2.

FINAL 4 of Block 6: Sonic The Hedgehog - Mutant League Hockey - NHL 96 - Donkey Kong Country 2

Final 4 time for block number 6 starts off with Sonic The Hedgehog VS Mutant League Hockey. Mutant League Hockey's colt following stops here as Sonic is much too popular for this hack and slash hockey game.

NHL 96 comes in to the final 4 to take on Donkey Kong Country 2. Just as the last final 4 matchup went the much popular game takes out a sports game as NHL 96 falls to mr Diddy Kong.

Block 6 Finals:

Sonic The Hedge Hog ( a 1 seed ) takes on Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest ( a 2 seed )in this final matchup of block 6. All of a sudden the DKC2 haters come out of the woodwork and blast the game moving along Sonic to the final 8 of the tournament. It seemed like DKC2 was too hard for some of the listeners to play and they held it against it passing through the blue fury guy. Anyway stay tuned next week as block number 7 brings us 8 more great 16 bit era games:

Super Mario Kart - Space Ace - Earthworm Jim - Super PunchOut - Super Mario RPG - F-Zero - Killer Instinct - Super Bonk.

Block 5 Outcome:
Block 5 starts off with the drama call of Kevin from the chatroom blasting the host about the outcome of last show and the beheading of Yoshi's Island. After about five minutes of ranting without taking a single breath, the tournament must roll on as Donkey Kong Country ( a 1 seed ) takes on XMEN ( an 8 seed ) of the Sega Genesis. Donkey Kong Country shows why it is ranked so high and completely destroys xmen in the voting.

The second matchup is actually an unplanned rematch of the 8-bit Tournament that 8bitx.com hosted previously. The two games are Super Metroid ( a 4 seed ) VS Super Smash TV ( a 5 seed ). In the 8bit tournament the matchup was close with Smash TV getting by Metroid with a few votes. This time Super Metroid has no problem getting past Super Smash TV as the gamers seem to like it better in the 16-bit era.

Matchup number 3 brings upon two great RPG games of its time pitting the Secret of Mana ( a 3 seed ) VS Earthbound ( a 6 seed ). Both games were well liked by the chatroom voters and it seemed that it depeneded on the childhood memories of the games to sway the votes in favor of Secret of Mana.

The final matchup of block number 5 is Comix Zone ( a 2 seed ) VS UN Squadron ( a 7 seed ). Comix Zone came in with a heavy threat of taking over this particular block but choked worse than the 97 Flyers described by Terry Murray. Un Squadron supprisingly wins the block having no problems winning the votes.

FINAL 4 of Block 5: Donkey Kong Country - Super Metroid - Secret of Mana - UN Sqadron

The first matchup of Block 5's final 4 is Donkey Kong Country vs Super Metroid. Donkey Kong Country once again shows its dominance by having no problem getting past Super Metroid.

Secret of Mana takes on UN Squadron in the second part of the final 4 matchup. UN Squadron completly took the last matchup by suprise but this cinderella story stops here as the fan favorite Secret of Mana wins over the Squadron.

Block 5 Finals:

The two games fighting it out to advance to the final 8 of the tournament are Donkey Kong Country ( a 1 seed ) VS Secret of Mana ( a 3 seed ). Although alot of the voters liked Secret of Mana it did not have enough to take out Donkey Kong Country. Next week brings upon 8 more games in block number 6:

Sonic - Kirby's Dream Course - Super Ghouls N' Ghosts - Mutant League Hockey - NHL 96 - Toejam & Earl - DKC2: Diddy Kong - Road Runner: Death Valley Ralley.

Block 4 Outcome:
Block 4 kicks off the show with the matchup of one of the best fighting games and pioneers of the same genre Mortal Kombat ( the 1st seed ) vs Zombies Ate My Neighbors ( an 8th seed ). As usual the 8th seed has no chance as Mortal Kombat blows it away getting only 2 votes for ZAMN.

Matchup number two brings us to Mega Man X ( a 4th seed ) vs NCAA Basketball ( a 5th seed ). Even though this was a 4 vs 5 seed which are usually suppose to be closer, NCAA recieves only one vote as it was unevenly matched up against Megaman X. Perhaps Megaman was given a higher seed than it was given as the crowd showed their love and rallyed behind it.

The third round brings upon some decision making drama this time not cooked up by the host. The drama makers, Sonic 3: Sonic & Knuckles ( a 3rd seed ) vs Final Fantasy III ( a 6th seed ). The crowd was torn between these two good games as once again a higher seed was upset as final fantasy pulls through to advance to the final 4 of this bracket.

The fourth round before the final four brings us to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island ( a 2nd seed ) vs Ghostbusters ( a 7th seed ). This version of ghostbusters competing is for the Sega Genesis and based upon the first two movies that came out in theaters. As popular as ghostbusters the movies were to the 8bitx crowd, it is not taken seriously on the video game console as Yoshi's island rips through it advancing it to the final rounds.

FINAL 4 of Block 4: Mortal Kombat - Mega Man X - Final Fantasy III - Yoshi's Island

Block four's final four matchup starts up off with Mortal Kombat ( the 1st seed ) vs Mega Man X ( the 4th seed ). Initially it was thought of that Mortal Kombat would run this bracket and square off against Street Fighter II in the Final 8 matchup of the 8bitx 16bit tournament. This is stopped abruptly by ignorance of the bracketmakers awareness of the popularity of Mega Man X as it suprisingly upsets the number one seed knocking Mortal Kombat out of the tournment. Mortal Kombats dreams of batteling Street Fighter II may have to be brought up at another time, but not in the 8bitx.com's 16bit tournament.

Round two of the final four brings us to an emotional battle of Yoshi's Island ( a 2 seed ) vs Final Fantasy III ( a 6th seed ). This time its childhood memory vs childhood memory as the chatroom goers battle fiercly left and right over which game should win out. With each vote brings a new lead and then a tie, a new lead and then a tie, all until all votes are tallied and it brings upon the coin flip. Yes, the COIN FLIP!!! As the coin spins in the air and bounces off the desk and finally lands the winner is Yoshi's island. Half the room erupts in a cheer the other half groans, but then a call comes in for an executive challenge. This opens the votes back up and allows the callers to voice their opinions on air about the game leading to the host make his descion on the outcome. The outcome: Final Fantasy III wins and moves on to the championship to face Mega Man X.

Block 4 Finals:

Looking at the seedings little would think of these two games facing off against each other in the final round, these games are Mega Man X ( a 4th seed ) vs Final Fantasy III ( a 6th seed ). Once again these later round matchups are much closer than the first four as Mega Man and Final Fantasy battle back and fourth ultimatly having Mega Man X pull through and move on to the Final 8. Stay Tuned to next weeks show to find out who will win between these next 8 Games:

Donky Kong Country - XMEN - Super Metroid - Super Smash TV - Secret of Mana - Earthbound - Comix Zone - UN Sqadron.

Block 3 Outcome:
Street Fighter II (the 1st seed) takes on Shaq Fu (the 8th seed) and destroys it with a 6-0 vote.

The next combatants were Ryne Sandberg's Super Bases Loaded (a 4th seed) vs Super Double Dragon (a 5th seed). This was actually a close matchup leaving Super Bases Loaded a few votes short of advancing. The winner...Super Double Dragon.

Moving along with the show saw the matchup of one of the hosts most beloved childhood games Ken Griffey Jr Presents Major League Baseball ( a 3rd seed ) vs Sim City ( a 6th seed ). Controversy erupts in this one where the host dope rules the audiance for picking Sim City over Ken Griffey Jr, the hosts reasoning......who has played Sim City on the SNES....The winner Ken Griffey Jr.

After a hush is brought over the crowd from the events of the last matchup, the final two games battle as the legend Super Castlevania IV ( a 2nd seed ) takes on Sega's Evander Holyfield Real Deal Boxing ( a 7th seed ). There is no competition in this one as Simon Belmont whips off holyfields ear worse than tyson ever did....Super Castlevania IV wins!

FINAL 4 of Block 3: Street Fighter II - Super Double Dragon - Ken Griffey Jr's Baseball - Super Castlevania IV

Final four time, Street Fighter II ( 1 seed ) vs Super Double Dragon ( 5th seed ). Street Fighter II barely escapes through with feeble attempts by some listeners to vote against it just to knock it out of the tournament. This does not go well with the host of the show, with lots of edited swearing which no one will ever hear. SF2 wins.

After the airwave riot, Ken Griffey Jr's baseball ( a 3rd seed ) takes on Super Castlevania IV ( a 2 seed ) for a chance to take on Street Fighter II in the finals to move on to the FINAL 8. As good of a game that Ken Griffey Jr's was, it is no match for the legacy that is Super Castlevania IV. After a nearly flawless victory, Super Castlevania will take on Street Fighter II.

Block 3 Finals:

Super Street Fighter II is now up against Super Castlevania IV - The one seed vs the two seed. As much trouble as Street Fighter II had getting to the final bracket, it easily beats Super Castlevania IV moving on to the Final 8. Stay Tuned to next weeks show to find out who will win between these next 8 Games:

Mortal Kombat - Zombies Ate My Neighbors - Megaman X - NCAA Basketball - Sonic 3: Sonic & Knuckles - Final Fantasy III - Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - Ghostbusters.
